Inside Magic receives about 200 solicited and unsolicited emails with images, stories, leads, and even full press releases. We don’t always have time to read each attachment and worry that we will be missing a great story or important feature.
We also worry that the Mystic Hollow Librarian will get wise and have us ejected for running this web site and sending our incredibly successful spam campaign for herbal cures on the same computer the kids use to play Oregon Trail.
Because the chairs in the Kid’s Section are so small, we would welcome a good booting out the door. But until the authorities crack down, we’ll continue to review all submissions with a careful eye.
J C Sum and ‘Magic Babe’ Ning’s Press Release was titled, “Singapore Illusionist and Sexy Female Magician Make a Magical Appearance for Asia Uncut Talk Show on Star World.”
We have long conceded we are no more mature than a slightly post-pubescent 12 year-old. We were intrigued.
Perhaps a more mature editor would not have been hooked by such a headline. Chances are we wouldn’t read the type of publication that editor produces, so we will never know.
The headline lead us to investigate J C Sum and ‘Magic Babe’ Ning. They are more than legit as you can see from their very slick web site.
Amidst the great graphics, outstanding format, and perfectly delivered pages, you will find their amazing work captured in fists-full of videos.
They have real skill. And from a cursory reading of their press clippings and testimonials, they apparently have a very loyal following of fans and clients.
The purpose of the press release was to announce their appearance on Asia Uncut (Episode 10) “showcasing their unique brand of “urban illusions in the city.”
The Asia Uncut appearance is a significant gig. The show is seen on the Star World Network, Asia’s largest. Star World reaches more than 200 million viewers and J C Sum and ‘Magic Babe’ Ning have the honor of being the first magicians to appear on Asia Uncut.
According to the press release, “[t]he talk show is the first one-shot mainstream avenue to reach the majority of English speaking people in Asia on an entertainment network.”
The show was taped back in April and features J C Sum’s close-up work. We understand ‘Magic Babe’ Ning performed her signature “Straight Jacket Striptease” with the help of the host.
They complete their segment with their “original grand illusions ‘Light and Space,’ where ‘Magic Babe’ Ning vanished in a blink of an eye.”
Be sure to check out their web site and press release for air dates.
J C Sum and ‘Magic Babe’ Ning’s cable network appearance debut is part of their promotional tour to promote their “Ultimate Magic” (www.ultimatemagic.sg ) show which is Singapore’s first permanent illusion show and only magic tourist attraction.
They perform five shows a week in the Singapore Tourism Board-endorsed attraction at The Arena in Clarke Quay.
