Charlotte Pendragon called 9-1-1 around 10:30 yesterday morning during an argument with Johnathan. Ms. Pendragon told the operator “her husband fired a bullet into the floor during an argument.”
The dispatcher instructed Ms. Pendragon to leave the home to avoid an armed confrontation.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mr. Pendragon at gun-point in the street outside his home. Mr. Pendragon was not armed at the time of the arrest.
Ms. Pendragon was not injured.
According to the Sheriff’s spokesperson, Mr. Pendragon complied immediately with the deputies’ orders and the arrest was conducted without incident.
Mr. Pendragon was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, spousal abuse, terrorist threats and firing a weapon inside of an occupied home.
The hand gun believed to have been fired by Mr. Pendragon was located inside the home, along with four other handguns, a shotgun and rifle. Sheriff’s deputies seized all weapons for “safekeeping.”
According to the Sheriff’s spokesperson, “Ms. Pendragon told the 9-1-1 operator her husband, Jonathan Pendragon, had armed himself with a handgun during an argument” and that he “fired the gun into the floor of the house.”
The couple have been married for 32 years.
Mr. Pendragon does not have a prior criminal record in San Luis Obispo County. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
