John Luka, the Motor City Magic Master, sends news that there is still some space available for the incredible Motor City Magic Convention in Detroit.
This is a must-attend event.
Mr. Luka’s twelfth iteration of what most agree is the close-up event of the year will be held this weekend, November 14th through the 16th at the perfectly appointed Ramada Inn of Taylor, Michigan.
If you are within driving distance of Detroit, and have interest in watching and learning top-notch magic with no fluff or downtime, you should attend.
Mr. Luka writes that “this will be one of the strongest line-ups of recent years. The magic WILL BE outstanding!”
For instance, check out this partial list of announced stars: Kozmo, John Guastaferro, Eric Jones, and Geoff Williams.
We understand Mr. Luka has arranged for a special guest performance by Brad Lancaster.
There are rumors I.B.M. International President Joan Caesar will attend. This year’s Special Guest of Honor is Karl Norman — one of the original entertainers at the legendary Forks Hotel in Buffalo, New York.
In fact, Mr. Norman chose to celebrate his 90th birthday at the convention.
Kozmo will brings his street act inside for this year’s show. Attendees will be among the first to see Kozmo’s new lecture.
John Guastaferro will be presenting his outstanding card magic. If you have not seen John perform, you are in for a real treat.
Eric Jones is the new guy on the block to watch. His coin magic will stop you cold. You will be amazed!
Geoff Williams will keep you in stitches and entertain you with some very strong commercial magic.
The Motor City Magic Convention is one of the few (maybe the only) events where normal magicians can mix, mingle and learn from the true leaders in our craft.
Your admission price gets you four lectures, and three close-up shows.
You can also attend the optional workshops for just $25.00 each.
We agree with Mr. Luka that the optional workshops may be the biggest bargain of the weekend.
It is not often we get almost personal instruction with the likes of Geoff Williams, John Guastaferro, and Eric Jones.
Visit Mr. Luka’s web site now for more information.
We understand he will be permitting on-line registration for one more day, and after Wednesday, you will need to buy your pass at the door.
Check out his web site here: http://www.johnlukamagic.com/
Be sure to bring a few extra dollars for the dealers’ tables. Mr. Luka writes that the place will be crawling with shops for your perusing pleasure.
Some of the dealers signed up already include: Hank Moorehouse, Mint Magic, Gordon Miller, The Wunderground, Tony Weiland’s Magic Exchange, Geoff Williams Magic, Eric Jones, John G Magic, Ed Ellis Magic, ABC Magic, and Kozmo Magic.
We will see you there.
