Bob Doing the Old Stretchy Card Stuck on Forehead Routine |
The Boston Herald properly noted the onslaught of 800 members of the
Society of American Magicians in their editions this morning.
Bob Little is featured in a nice color photograph demonstrating
something — we’re not sure what he’s showing us. He’s got a card on
the forehead, stretchy dollar bill, and a big smile.
The Boston Park Plaza Hotel is the site of the conclave.
As is apparently required in all media coverage of all magic
conventions – big or small – the writer noted, “no magic secrets are
being revealed. That, organizers said, would take the hocus out of the
pocus.”
The seminars are restricted to members and the public was strictly
forbidden to enter the dealers’ room or private backstage areas.
George Schindler provides the reason for the tight security, “All the
props that magicians use are exchanged, and that’s why we can’t allow
the public back there.”
The convention continues through Saturday and the paper directs readers interested in the public or private aspects to the SAM website.
