Good News: John Carney Lecture Scheduled. Bad News: Same Time as SCAM.

How many lectures do you see in a given year?  If you are like us, you see a ton.  Most of them are great.  There is something about taking your stuff on the road that keeps the pretenders from the contenders.  We wouldn?t go out on the road to lecture about what we?ve invented or what we thought we could offer on a dare. 

 

So, the bottom line: we go to every lecture offered.  We figure we?re bound to learn something.  Plus, we have to cover it for Inside Magic.

 

But here is the lecture we would not want to miss.  John Carney?s once-in-a-life-time lecture is coming to the U.S. this January 15th. 

 

Why?  Why travel all the way to Hollywood, California to see a lecture?  Why?  You ask why?  Check out the book we just bought: John Carney?s On Palming.

Help me!?

If you are like us, you need this book.  If you are like us, you need to make arrangements to fly to Hollywood, head to The Magic Castle and then turn around and head two blocks south to Mr. Carney?s lecture. 

 

We?ve never seen Mr. Carney lecture but we have seen him perform.  The man knows what Magic is all about.  In the words of the NBA, ?he?s got skills!?

 

As far as we know, he is only lecturing in the U.S. this one time.  It?s the trip to make this winter ? assuming you are not going to the always great South Carolina Association of Magician?s convention this weekend in Columbia, South Carolina. 

 

Fortunately, we have the Inside Magic private jet to take us from Columbia to Hollywood and still be back in time for our participation in the Close-Up and Stage Competition at SCAM. 

 

We live a wonderfully, lucky life.
