Learn From The Masters This Weekend – The Close-Up Clinic In Philly.

Roberto Giobbi

I enjoy the writing of Misters Swiss, Giobbi and Ben and certainly respect their skills and the idea that I could spend a weekend getting essentially personal attention from these masters, is almost too good to be believed. (Was that a Charles Dickens? ?sentence as long as a paragraph? sentence or what?)

The concept of a clinic is not new and certainly the idea of having one or two special instructors lecturing a group at a convention has been done. But this event appears to be the great combination of all of these concepts.

There are two clinics available:The Card Clinic and the Close-Up Clinicmake for a difficult choice.Asyou’ll read at the website,”you will spend many hours of pure instructional time with Jamy Ian Swiss and Roberto Giobbi at Card Clinic,or Jamy Ian Swiss and David Ben at Close-up Clinic, plus social time during meals and unscheduled gatherings.” Either way, it would seem to be an incredible experience.

And the best thing is that they will work with magicians at our skill-level.

Oh, wait, you wonder how I know your skill level. You think that maybe because I am still working out of my Mr. Magic?s Magic Set and you are a five time FISM winner (in each of the categories except ?Best Magician to Use a Store-Bought Magic Set,? which I have a shot at winning when I get the Imp Bottle routine down pat).

Well, as we say in the carnival side-show business, that?s the beauty part. You can be at any level in experience and that?s where the masters will meet you to help you move to the next level with confidence and new skills. So you can learn how to perfect your Center Deal and I?ll work on my Svengali Deck.

(By the way, you need to read Mr. Ben’s work on Vernon and the search for the Center Deal. You can read his response to Tony Giorgio’s attack on Vernon in the October issue of Genii).

The price is hefty, $695.00. But for that you get so much and not just the chance to see these masters but also to learn from them. Would I pay $250.00 to learn from Mr. Swiss or Mr. Giobbi or Mr. Ben?

Yeah.

Would I pay $695.00 for all three? Yeah, I sure would. I?d have to borrow it by getting a cash advance on the Pizza Hut Visa card I just got in the mail and then pay that back with my Fredrick?s of Hollywood Master Card, but it would be worth working the 60 day float. This is a once in a life-time deal.

Check out the Clinic?s website for more information. I don?t know if the sessions are sold out already for this weekend but it?s worth the click. You can see some pretty incredible videos on the site while you’re there.
