Mr. Leong Using Essential Gimmick for All Magi |
The Kuala Lumpur paper The Star has an interesting article for those of us who learned magic as demonstrators for magic shops.
Allan Lee, George Wong and Allen Leong decided to take their magic shop into the stalls of one of the busiest markets in town. Amongst the food, fruit, counterfeit watches and bogus brand-name hand bags, they set up shop to sell thumb tips, cups and balls, paddles, and basic card tricks.
One of the chief problems they faced was their prospective customers? belief that they were accomplishing the magic through the use of evil spirits or disembodied assistance.
