Rick Carruth, editor of the incredible eMagic Deluxe Journal of Magic, passed along some disconcerting news: he asks for our prayers for an important member of our magic community. Dan Turcotte, the prime mover behind You Do Magic at youdomagic.com, has had his cancer come out of remission. According to Mr. Carruth, Mr. Turcotte will begin chemotherapy immediately.
Mr. Turcotte is one of the most selfless members of our Art. His site was featured in an article on Inside Magic?s August 6th, 2003 edition. Mr. Carruth has a great interview with Mr. Turcotte in his current edition of eMagic Deluxe Journal of Magic. If you are new to the Art or an old hack, you will find something you can use in your real world performances at Mr. Turcotte?s site.
We join Mr. Carruth?s petition, ?I sincerely ask that each of you say a prayer for Dan and ask God for his healing..God does things like that, you know…?
