Magician Bruce Amato Teaches Tools for Success |
In a recent show at Kenwood Elementary in the Clarksville, Tennessee area, he invited kids tothrow invisible quarters into a drinking glassdemonstrating they were all”rich in character,” he explained that attitude and effort are essential — using alphabet blocks and sleight of hand, and even suspended a student between two chairs toemphasize the importance of maintaining balance for personal success.
Bruce has been amagician for 32 years, and according to a very nice article in The Leaf Chronicle, “does between 500 and 600 shows a year, primarily in schools and at libraries during summer reading programs.” Like most of us — and perhaps those in his audience — he fell in love with magic as a child.
His heart is clearly in the right place, “I see magic as a tool, a vehicle for getting the message out there,” he said. “And it’s fun … it’s the creativity part of coming up with new shows every year that’s a blast.
“But my favorite trick is watching kids’ faces light up and their smiles and laughter.”
Brucewas also an American Representative of the Supreme Magic Company of England and heads WizWorks Magic Company.
