It takes guts to admit to take on the position of U.S. Treasury Secretary; especially now. The markets are in turmoil, Wall Street is looking for leadership and certainty. The critics are checking the credentials of every nominee. John Snow has been forthright in his disclosure that he is, and has been, a magician.
During high-level meetings with Jeff Lowenfels, former head of Yukon Pacific. During the course of the meeting, Lowenfels performed a trick wherein he made sugar vanish from a sugar packet.
Our future Treasury Secretary was amazed and refused to allow Lowenfels leave the table until he taught the trick to Snow. Snow learned it and apparently finds enjoyment in watching, learning and performing magic.
In an unrelated story, equipment to perform the miser’s dream has been bought up from all Washington D.C. magic stores. Said one store owner, “it was weird, some guys with trench coats came in, asked if I had the trick and didn’t even ask how much. They bought every one I had.” The Dow Industrials were up on the news of the increased sales of magic equipment used to effortlessly produce money.
